Kenny

He's a good man. He tends to lose things every so often. That thing is his mind.

This is a drawing of the actual event of losing a mind.

Puddle of Ink

Depression is to me a puddle of ink.

It washes away in a heavy flood of who you are, what you are, and what you can be.

You need to repaint yourself again and again in these times where you build enough ink to sustain past the flood waters of your life and to stay whole until the very end of what you were given.

Gallery Girls: Goth Babes

I wanted to do something different as with Goth Night.

People often draw lacy, black thing types of which are quite nice, but I wanted to go a step further.

It didn't help that it was the weekend of my birthday and well, I wanted to take the piss out of convention. Besides, I wanted to analyze the skeletal structure.

Then, shit got weird...

Ah me.... and like a boss I spilled some of my delishus drink on my sketchbook.

Thanks to Gallery Girls. They're a lovely bunch of ladies for all of your modeling wishes!

Gallery Girls: Circus Pin-Up

It seems that I've determined that whenever I sketch, it's to memorize lines on a face and body. I'm not really composing a "piece". However, when I do "improv" sketches based on that memory, they turn out fabulous.

Thanks to Prix and Jennifer who have made this possible!

Bat

His name is Bat and it's for a friend's game.

His subsequent contact information and happy graphical things are at: https://www.facebook.com/adhkamiz

Please give this guy some love - he really wants to make a good game. Hopefully had you enjoyed my concept of the character he gave me to flesh out.

If it didn't make sense - for Pete's sake it's 1:15am. My brain is too overclocked and it shut down to cool off...

It's raining men....

Mad Men that is.

I've joined a lovely group that does a free sketch over on the 2nd and 4th Sunday per month. I hope you come there. Just be kind and tip them as they're very lovely!

They had just female models for a long time. Even though I was extremely grateful, I wanted to have male models as I really was having problems with the features, posing, and general anatomy.

Well, these lovely people had oh so nicely responded. I requested a male model and a male-female interaction as I wanted to see the juxtaposition between the two sexes.

And I got both tonight! I got some real good sketches of the man done. It was a real good study.

This is where I sketch at the Gallery Girls Free nights:

These are the awesome people!

I'm horrible at press releases as I am writing this before I go to bed...

Let's go Princess!

Of course that was another random title I cooked up.

I've been doing some figure drawing. I figure I will expand upon these sketches.

As you can see in some of the examples, I'm a bit willy-nilly in my artwork. I was debating cleaning them up, but left it for roughness' sake.

Sometimes I will first draw the model, then incorporate bits of her into another sketch of one of my own characters. I'm going to try to draw more men.

See you next year Comic-Con!

This is a practice drawing as I've had this image in my head from when I was a kid. I want to see if my vigor has recovered from Comic-Con.

I would always see Gumby skating around on one leg, no wheels.

So, I wondered how his leg didn't grind away.

His feet must have been self-oiling or something. Either way, I was thinking of that possible outcome.

PS. Comic-Con is fun. I love the people I met there.

Happy Halloween

When I was a kid, we would put these china cat dolls up on a tree. It was a boy and a girl. I named them, respectively, Mr. and Mrs. Katson. As a rather imaginative little girl, I made up a whole story about them being married and having a party on the Christmas tree. I just expanded on the idea for Halloween this time.

Ironically, they were both tabbies. I guess Mr. Katson went and dyed his hair black.

Long time.

It's been a while...

Been kind of keeping to myself, trying to find my rhythm and groove and it seems I got knocked out of the spinning LP. I had to get back on.

It's not that I don't want to study or get better. I just realized that I lost track of some things. So for a while, I'm going to draw stuff I like at the moment. I got too clinical. It's not that clinical isn't important, it's just that I think that sometimes a balance should be achieved.

Sketch time!

I was watching a walkthrough of Silent Hill 5. Man, I should get that game.

Harry Mason or James Sunderland? It's kind of hard to tell as they are melancholy characters.

Drone. Inspired by Silent Hill's wierdness for bugs. May make into color.

Not related to Silent Hill, but my avatar.

Face study. Love this one. I may paint it.

Wow. It's been a long time.

My apologies as I have not kept on this blog as often as I should. I've been going nuts with just life in general--as well as client contracts that I've been making it feel neglected.

Here are some sketches that I managed to do in my moments in time.

Kind of doing my bit on anatomy and ideas.

Currently working on a painting. It's not been shown here before, but been messing with the usual: Color n' stuffs mixed wtih emotive dreaminess... you know, no big thing. :P

Cutie Honey

I was talking to my friend about Cutie Honey. We were making light of the character when I just felt like drawing her.

Random.

side view, avatar

Brushing up on my anatomy to see what works or not. Either way, I like the outcome. She looks a LOT more closer to what I want, other than just another pretty face.
